Ange Rios
Assistant Manager Renton / Instructor
Vinyasa / Barre
My first love was yoga, I began seriously practicing when I found Be Yoga in 2018 when I moved to south Seattle. Yoga and the studio gave me a place to move my body, calm my mind and fill my soul. And then when I finally decided to take a barre class - that was it - I had found my match. I fell in love with the high energy, dance-y, strength based format. Last year, I found myself feeling stuck in my corporate career and started manifesting a creative & fun side hustle, so when the opportunity for barre teacher training came along- I jumped on it. And it felt like fate, as we approached graduation, a spot on the Be Yoga team opened up and I got to join the team. Barre is such a source of joy, confidence and passion for me and I can't wait to share that with you! I've experienced firsthand how movement and this community can create shifts and positive change. My hope is that you leave my class feeling alive, empowered and strong.

Sam began his yoga practice in 2022, and his teacher trainings only a year later. Sam was drawn to Yoga as a way to heal from injuries and discover a new path in life. Sam lives with blindness in both eyes. This challenging nature was perfect for Yoga, learning to truly 'see' through his practice and connect with the world through new eyes.

Emily Fish
Instructor / Teacher Trainer / Retreat Leader
Vinyasa / Yin / Hatha / Barre
Emily has dedicated her life to studying music and dance, practicing yoga, traveling the world, and embracing mother nature’s beauty in all her manifestations. She has always strived to live a free spirited life of adventure and play. From a young age, Emily was inspired by her mother’s vision to be a creative force from which others could gain confidence to actively change the direction of their lives. She began teaching yoga and meditation in 2010 after studying abroad in India for three years. After years of incorporating the fluidity of dance, the synchronization of music, and as much strength training and stamina building as possible into her yoga practice, she met her first barre class. Immediately she fell in love and knew that was the direction she wanted to grow as a teacher! You can expect all her classes to incorporate seamless transitions that are super challenging and driven by a motivating and invigorating playlist!

Ashley Wainscott
Instructor / Retreat Leader
Hatha / Fusion / Vinyasa
Ashley started her regular yoga practice after having her 3rd baby in
2014. Growing up as a dancer it was a chance to lean into some balance
and flexibility that may have still been lingering around. She stumbled
upon BYB and immediately fell in love with yoga for its challenge
physically and mentally. Sooner than later she found herself coming
back for more as often as she could. After working in the corporate
world for 20 years, she started to find her balance and her need for self care through yoga. -

Jill Tiedeman
Instructor / Teacher Trainer
Hatha / Yin
Like many people, Jill started practicing yoga as a way to bring flexibility into her fitness regimen, which at the time included a lot of running. Her first class was a 90-minute hot Hatha style and after a few classes she was totally hooked to the point that yoga became her favorite form of physical conditioning and everything else took a backseat. That was in 2007 and while lots of other changes have transpired in Jill's life since then, yoga has remained a constant. With time her practice evolved to include other styles of yoga and gradually her focus on the mat became as much about the mental and spiritual benefits as the physical. In 2017, Jill completed her first 200+ hour teacher training with Be Yoga Burien-- a truly life-changing experience that ignited a passion to learn as much as possible about yoga theory/philosophy and a love for teaching that she never expected to discover.

Joshua Gray
Instructor
Hatha / Fusion
Joshua began his yoga journey in 2018 right here at Be Yoga Burien. From a young age being active in sports, martial arts and dance was a daily routine. Upon leaving LA and with the insistence of fellow theatrical performers and yogis living in New York Joshua signed up for his first yoga class a week after moving back to the Pacific Northwest. After three years of attending classes at the studio Joshua completed his 200 hour Classic 26 certification under the tutelage of Debbie Dixon.
Joshua owns a production company specializing in live video game broadcasts and digital media. He’s confident yoga is one of the best ways to help the digital generation connect to their natural selves.

Meghan Lewis
Instructor
Hatha
Meghan has been practing yoga since the early 90’s and teaching the Original Hot Yoga since 2002. While living at a Buddhist Temple in 1997, Meghan met one of the owners of Seattle’s first Hot Yoga Studio. Along with a few of her friends, (including a few monks and nuns!), these devout meditators became regular students at the Yoga College of India in Greenlake. The structured, set, predictable classes with limited distractions proved to be the medicine she had been searching for. Over time this practice replaced her other forms of exercise, and in 2002 she attended Bikram Teacher Training in LA. Meghan has taught at many Seattle area studios over the decades and has been delighted and grateful to be with Be Yoga Burien since 2014. Meghan’s class is meditative and precise. Her goal is for you to leave class with a balanced nervous system, a fresh and open mind, and both internal and external strength, balance, and flexibility.

Becca Grajalez
Front Desk
Becca walked into her first yoga class at BYB in May 2024 searching for connection – and found something that felt like home. What began as a way to navigate a difficult season quickly became a path of healing, purpose, and self discovery. She fell in love with the practice, completed her Hatha teacher training just a few months later, and now works at the front desk, grateful to be surrounded by the community that changed her life. Yoga has become her compass, guiding her with clarity, calm, and deep love.

Camille Ritchie
Front Desk
My first class was back in 2009 but I started my practice in November of 2021 at Be Yoga Burien. I felt lost in the world and after just one class I noticed a positive shift with my mental health. The variety of classes, the welcoming front desk and the sense of community kept me coming back. As time went on, I gained more energy, confidence and now I feel strong in my body. Yoga has been life changing for me.
